Mr. Haque, with a strong academic and professional background, is an expert in disaster management, climate change, and hydrology, with expertise in GIS and remote sensing. He holds a Fellowship in DRM from the Swedish Civil Contingency Agency (MSB) & SIDA, Sweden, and an advanced degree in Disaster Management/Climate Change from EPFL, Switzerland. He earned his M.Sc. in Disaster Management from the University of Dhaka and his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) in 1999.

With more than 23 years of professional experience, he has worked with reputable organizations such as CEGIS, EIMS, Swiss Red Cross, and EGIS-II. He played an essential role in Developing Environmental & Social Management Plans (ESMP), Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Development of Hydrological Modelling, Development of Community Risk Assessment (CRA) and Risk Reduction Action Plans, Impacts of relative Sea Level Rise on coastal communities and their livelihoods.

He also possesses extensive experience in setting up WASH quality monitoring, community-based Flood Early warning Dissemination systems for both Riverian and Flash floods, Cyclone Shelter Management system, conducting Training to different stakeholder and Feasibilities studies & baseline surveys for various project. Throughout his career, he has worked on several significant projects such as Risk-sensitive land use planning, Conducting Geotechnical Investigation, Infrastructure vulnerability assessment, Development of Hydrological Modelling for Sediment and Morphology, Salinity intrusion, Drought modelling, and Ground Water Assessment, Haor Master Plan, Integrated Water Resources Management Project etc. Mr. Haque's expertise extends to strong project management capabilities.

He participated in several national and international professional training programs and workshop such as USA, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, Turkey, UAE, Ethiopia, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan and India over the course of his career.
