Climate Change Specialist

Fatema Akter is a highly qualified professional having more than eight years of experience in disaster management and climate change related projects. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology and a Master's degree in Disaster Management from University of Dhaka.

Before joining DSGS, she worked on a project for the BBC, ICCAD, and EIMS, where she gained valuable experience in developing strategies and policies to mitigate the impact of climate change. Fatema has a deep understanding of the challenges posed by salinity intrusion in the southwest region of Bangladesh, and she has developed innovative solutions to address this issue.

Her work involves collaborating with local communities, NGOs, and government agencies to develop effective response plans, build resilience, and promote sustainable development.

Fatema's expertise in disaster management and climate change has made her a highly respected figure in her field, and she continues to play a vital role in shaping policies and strategies to address these critical issues.
