Shibly Azad is a highly accomplished Senior Lecturer with a wealth of education & experience in various fields. He holds an M.A. in English Literature from Lehman College, City University of New York, and a B.A. in Political Science from Columbia University, NY, USA. In 2014, he was awarded the Dr. Alice Griffin Graduate Fellowship by Lehman College, City University of New York.

Currently, Shibly Azad serves as an Adjunct Faculty at the Independent University of Bangladesh and a consultant for DSGS. He has previously held senior lecturer positions at East West University, and lecturer at Lehman College under City University of New York.

Shibly Azad has also worked as an individual consultant on various projects related to Environment Impact Assessment, Vulnerability and Risk Assessment, Social baseline survey, Environmental & Social management Plan (ESMP), and has developed policies and analyzed data and statistics to provide insights into social patterns and trends. He has experience in conducting economic analyses, developing cost-benefit analyses, identifying financing opportunities, and monitoring and evaluating project outcomes.

Earlier in his career, he worked for the Department of Social Service (Civil Service), City of New York, as a senior associate at Pioneer Services Centre, a consulting firm in New York City, and as a Bibliographic Assistant at Columbia University. Shibly Azad has published several novels, essays, and research papers in his career, and he has also served as a Corresponding Editor for Banglapedia, the National Encyclopedia of Bangladesh.
